It's lovely to think of a legendary primatologist as being so confounded by these apes that her first regard to the horror of them is to dream of launching them to space.
Thus spoke Zarathustra plays as Trump swings a bone with a cutaway to Elon Musk tumbling away from a Grok-pod into endless orbit of Jupiter.
This story is not even close to being close to being in HN's clearly–defined scope, which is content that "gratifies intellectual curiosity". It's as baity and lightweight as stories come: conflating the death of an eminent person with broad dislike of prominent political and business figures.
We had a large discussion [1] about Jane Goodall's passing when it was announced five days ago, which was an appropriately reverential discussion. We don't need to diminish the gravity of her life and passing with this.
Meanwhile, several of your recent comments have been snarky and unsubstantive, and we need that to stop if you want to keep participating here. You may have a different idea than we do about what HN is for, so I'd encourage you to take a moment to read the guidelines [2] and make an effort to observe them in future. HN is not for continual venting about things we find upsetting or objectionable, it's for discussing topics that are interesting and inspiring, and for finding tech projects that may be useful in our work and life, and that might make the world a little bit better. It's not for everyone, but the people who make the best contributions and derive the greatest benefits are the ones who observe the guidelines and make an effort to raise the standards.
Please don't post trollish comments like this on HN. As I wrote above, the article is clearly off topic for HN. Users were right to flag it, and the ones flagging it are users who flag items for the right reasons (out of HN's scope or breaching guidelines) rather than for political reasons.
It's long been against the guidelines to complain about downvoting or sneer at the community, and we need you to make an effort to contribute positively if you want to keep participating here. https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html
You haven't thought this through, Jane. What would happen to Trump's absurdly complex combover in a zero-g situation? Doesn't bear thinking about.
