I’d prefer that psychiatrist professional opinions stay out of politics, as they will certainly be weaponized, turned partisan, and tarnish the field. There are numerous reports from people that have actually met him in private describing his public persona as a theatrical showman.
> The President was not examined face to face, and he is not a patient of any member of our group. Rendering a formal diagnosis in this case is not our role. We have closely followed his behavior and his statements over the past year.
> It is our professional opinion that the behaviors of Donald Trump, tragically, are neither momentary lapses nor political theater. It is our professional opinion that they reflect a rapidly worsening, reality-untethered, increasingly dangerous decline.
> However, it is unethical for a psychiatrist to offer a professional opinion unless he or she has conducted an examination and has been granted proper authorization for such a statement.
Ironically Wikipedia is the place for false diagnoses of any notable person, because “Claims About Self” are always presumed true, so any medical condition or disability that’s announced by the subject in the press is 100% unassailable unless proven fake.
The blogs post seems overly dramatic to me and vastly exaggerating the importance of that document. A bunch of doctors voiced their concern about the president, and that concern was added to the public record. That's it.
We don't know if anyone will actually stop it if Trump ever gives a catastrophic military order. Odds are against it, since none of the illegal orders so far have been resisted effectively.
Honestly, the findings match a lot of people above the age of 70. The older you get the more money and influence you potentially have so people who are quite elderly keep getting elected but we need to do something about this. I wouldn't feel safe with my 70 year old grandmother going to the grocery store by herself let alone having her run a country.
I very much don't think this blog post passes any sniff test for anything to be taken seriously or given much thought, it's just political agenda posting.
However, there is an interesting question on how presidential physical and mental fitness is evaluated. Does anyone have insight into what rules and regulations govern this and do they have any (preferably supreme court validated) backing?
> Mr. OGLES. Madam Speaker, tonight the American people will tune in to
watch a rigged debate with leftist hosts pretending to moderate.
> Biden's sham of a judicial witch hunt is as obvious to the American
people as the amount of stimulants that Biden takes before his public
appearances.
> Incoherent mutterings, lack of physical awareness, and wandering off
demonstrate his cognitive decline. Ahead of tonight's debate, I have no
doubt his puppet masters will once again be administering a concoction
of drugs to keep him awake.
> President Trump volunteered to take a drug test. White House
handlers, however, won't let Biden take a cognitive test because they
know he will fail.
> I agree with President Trump. The American people deserve
transparency, which is why I introduced the No Juicing Joe Act, which
would require the White House to notify Congress and the American
people when Biden takes anything for cognitive decline.
> America is the leader of the free world. We need a Commander in Chief
who is capable of articulating a coherent sentence, aware of his
surroundings, and can lead with strength, a President like Donald
Trump.
> Establishing the Select Committee on President Biden’s Cognitive Decline.
> Whereas overwhelming evidence shows President Biden and his staff covered up the extent of his cognitive decline;
> Whereas additional information has come to light following his departure from the White House showing the full extent of his cognitive infirmaries;
> Whereas the 25th Amendment establishes a process whereby the President or the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or such other body as Congress may by law provide may report to Congress that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of the office;
> Whereas the American people deserve to have a President who is engaged and understands the nature and consequences of his actions; and
> Whereas Congress has an institutional interest in understanding whether the President is capable of discharging these powers and duties: Now, therefore, be it
> Resolved,
> SECTION 1. Establishment.
> There is hereby established in the House of Representatives a Select Committee on President Biden’s Cognitive Decline (hereafter in this resolution referred to as the “Select Committee”).
The image accompanying the article is a 2/3rds black people. Is that an insinuation that the coup is related to the mass importation of illegals. Or just the usual mandatory DEI genuflection that is also what the medical establishment has become entranced by.
It's not a coup if the president isn't replaced...
Quiet indeed...
> It's not a coup if the president isn't replaced...
... or even inconvenienced.
Incredibly stupid article.

It brings to mind the parable of the drowning man or "what do you want from me, I sent you two boats and a helicopter".

AI;dr: 36 doctors signed a letter stating that Donald Trump is unfit to be president.
Various doctors have done this since 2017: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Age_and_health_concerns_about_...
36 doctors declared President Donald Trump mentally unfit for office.
Whoopty do.
I mean... this was common knowledge before the election...

Life isn't a play based on narrative conservation and necessity. All sorts of things go into the Congressional Record. If there were, we would expect something more from https://www.congress.gov/congressional-record/volume-170/iss...

Where were they under Biden until debate made it clear to all of America that we had been lied to furiously?
